Hi!  I’m Karen McKnight, After 3 Coordinator for NBC Middle School and High School.  This is new position for me after teaching the last 31 years at the NB Elementary School.  I was a reading specialist the last 17 years and previously taught pre-K, first, fourth and third grades.

 

I am married to Kenneth McKnight, have one step-daughter and five dogs!  I love spending time with my furry babies as well as my family.  I have a sister, 2 nieces and 1 nephew as well as 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews.  I enjoy spending time with my family, working outdoors, and eating ice cream!

 

I enjoy spending time with the students at After3.  It’s great to help the students with their classes as well as doing fun activities to enrich their life experiences!  The students build friendships and learn new things all while having fun!

 

Tutors:

 

Ann Jones – currently elementary music teacher K-5, gifted and ESL teacher for school district.  Ann has worked in the After 3 program for the past 8 years.

Janine England – currently teaching Grades 7 and 8 English.  Janine has worked the last 11-12 years in the After 3 program.

Carol Gochnour -  currently teaches Grade 7 American History and Math.  Carol is new to the program this year!

Lorie Gable – currently teaches Kindergarten at the elementary.  Lorie has worked with After 3 for the past 3 years!

Jen Aungst – currently teaches Grade 2 at the elementary.  Jen has worked with After 3 for the past 7 years!

 

Instructional  Assistant

 

Lisa Clapper – Lisa is new to After 3 this year.  She currently works for Learning Lamp at the Northern Bedford Elementary school.

Deb Bowser – During the day, Deb is currently an instructional assistant at the elementary.  She is new to the After 3 program this year!
